VCP

Well after a long break I finally broke down and took another certification test. After week learning from Taylor I went and sat for my VCP on VI3 test. So I am happy to report that I pasted my test, and all I can say is that it is one heck of a test. Not only does it test you on the VMware ESX product but you also have to know some networking, storage, hardware and OS performance settings. So if you are able to take the class I recommend it, after that study hard are you should have no problems with the test.

For some great study guide I recommend:

So having never truly used Craigslist for much besides the occasional browsing of listings. I decided to put up old washer and dyer on there to see what happened. Since I had no use for these and just wanted them gone I put them up under the free section. As luck would have it within the first 2 hours I had 9 responses. I emailed the first guy back and within 4 hours of posting the ad they are both gone. The guy came by with his trailer and picked them up and now I have space in our spare room. So thank you craigslist for helping me clean up my house.

So Liz and I decided to carve pumpkins this year. I think they turned out pretty good. Mine is the Darth Vader on the right and she did the Storm Trooper on the left.

So living on the East coast means that I am not able to get all of the Ohio State football games. I know that they are being shown on the Big Ten Network, but since Comcast won’t show the network what am I to do. This sucks all I want to do is watch the OSU game at home, and I am not even offered the change to subscribe to the one channel that will show the game. So until Comcast gets their head out of their arse and picks up the channel I am forced to watch the play by play on my computer and hope that ESPN will show some clips. So come on Comcast don’t make me switch to the dish, although this will give me more HD channels, HMMMMM. Maybe it is time to start looking at a dish, but then I lose my high speed internet. I guess I will just have to wait for Verizon to complete FIOS in my neighborhood so I can get the channels I want and high speed internet.

D80 So since I am still on my photography kick at the moment I figured I would add a quick list of sites that I visit.

KenRockwell.com- Great site with LOTS of technical information
FredMiranda- The forums here are great. Lots of pro’s hang out here, but be warned that they can be brutal of pictures submitted for C&C
Nikonians- All things Nikon
Photo.net- This site is full of good info even though the prefer Canon products
